As leaders we spend a lot of our time listening to our employees. It is also our responsibility to help diffuse conflicts, listening to complaints, and counseling employees. We want to be available to our employees, but without setting boundaries you may spend most of the day mediating conflicts. We miss out on valuable management time and lose focus of our goals.

One office gossip or production team member can cripple a team and destroy an entire workforce. It can be tempting to ignore the problem, but don’t let their bad attitude infect everyone else. Once negativity infects your team it’s hard to contain the damage. You’ll start to see reduced productivity, damaged morale, turnovers, and lost revenue.
